Putting on the Foil For Fun

When I first met Paul Newman, to me he was just another pretty face. As I got to know him over our time together filming Slap Shot, it was obvious that he was a great actor and a fun-loving, all-around good guy, but I had no idea at the time just how big his heart was and how small his ego was. Over the years since we broke from the set of Slap Shot, I personally experienced and saw first hand his quiet generosity. Since his unfortunate passing, I was reminded just how great of a man he really was and how unselfishly he shared himself and his rewards with those who were not as lucky as he was.

I’ve been asked why would I contribute to his foundation when it already receives generous proceeds from Newman’s Own food line. I answer that by saying, if no one gave because they thought that where they were giving to had enough, then how long would there be enough? Besides, can you ever give a stricken child too much? I don’t think so. So, I ask you to either buy something from my site that will help me to contribute, or go to the Serious Fun Network web site to donate directly to Paul’s dream.
